Le titre, \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9criture sonore manuscrite\u00a0\u00bb introduit \u00e9galement par jeu de mots la notion de \u00ab\u00a0manuscript sonore \u00bb. Ce court-m\u00e9trage de treize minutes est un film fondateur en mati\u00e8re de sons synth\u00e9tiques. <br \/>Constitu\u00e9 d\u2019une premi\u00e8re partie documentaire sur la science acoustique, <em>T\u00f6nende Handschrift<\/em> peut \u00eatre class\u00e9 parmi les films dits \u00ab\u00a0scientifiques\u00a0\u00bb, ou \u00ab\u00a0documentaires\u00a0\u00bb comprenant dans le premier tiers un v\u00e9ritable cours didactique de physique acoustique, enrichi d\u2019un grand nombre d\u2019exemples sonores synth\u00e9tiques. Le commentaire explique et illustre de mani\u00e8re simple les principes de base de la physique acoustique\u00a0: la c\u00e9l\u00e9rit\u00e9 d\u2019une onde dans l\u2019air et dans l\u2019eau, la propagation des fr\u00e9quences hertziennes, le m\u00e9canisme d\u2019enregistrement et de lecture du gramophone, la fr\u00e9quence sonore, la forme d\u2019onde&#8230; La deuxi\u00e8me partie du film se tient dans l\u2019atelier de Rudolf Pfenninger et repose sur un entretien r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par le journaliste Helmuth Renar.
