Autodidacte, il est principalement connu pour concevoir des installations qui empruntent tout autant aux domaines du volume et de la sculpture qu&#39;&agrave; celui de l&#39;art sonore. Il y assemble des mat&eacute;riaux et des composants simples et fonctionnels, (cartons, boites, petits moteurs), des objets industriels banals, jouant sur leur profusion et leur multiplication.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"fr\">L&#39;accrochage g&eacute;om&eacute;trique quasi <span class=\"hps\">obsessionnel de<\/span> ses installations <\/span><span lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"hps\">exprime<\/span> &quot;<span class=\"hps\">une tension entre les<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">mod&egrave;les<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">ordonn&eacute;s<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">du modernisme<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">et<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">les<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">forces<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">chaotiques<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">de la vie<\/span><span>&quot; nous confie-t- il.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"fr\">En partant d&#39;objets de <\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\"> facture simple &mdash;un carton &agrave; l&#39;int&eacute;rieur duquel un<\/span> petit moteur actionne une boule de coton qui vient <\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\">doucement <\/span>cogner sur ses parois&mdash; il parvient, en les multipliant parfois &agrave; plusieurs centaines d&#39;unit&eacute;s<\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\">, &agrave; doter ces objets sonores du quotidien d&#39;une v&eacute;ritable vie organique o&ugrave; <span class=\"hps\">le bourdonnement<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">acoustique des<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">ph&eacute;nom&egrave;nes naturels cr&eacute;pite, fr&eacute;tille, s&#39;agite<\/span>, s&#39;anime, <\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\">fourmille, jusqu&#39;&agrave; emplir et &quot;habiter&quot; tout<\/span><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\"><span class=\"hps\"> l&#39;espace sonore des lieux o&ugrave; il installe ses constructions<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">minimalistes<\/span><span class=\"hps\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" height=\"281\" src=\"http:\/\/philippelanglois.net\/lcd\/wp-content\/uploads\/zimoun_361_dc-motors_filler_wire_02_800x450px.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Zimoun m&egrave;ne dans ses &oelig;uvres une exploration syst&eacute;matique du rythme m&eacute;canique d&eacute;multipli&eacute;, en perp&eacute;tuel renouvellement, recr&eacute;ant artificiellement la complexit&eacute; d&#39;organismes vivants improbables qui conf&egrave;rent une profondeur &eacute;motionnelle et une dimension po&eacute;tique &agrave; des objets d&#39;ordinaire inertes<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"fr\"><span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ses installations qui, le plus souvent, reposent sur des dispositifs m&eacute;caniques simples ne s&#39;attachent pas seulement &agrave; r&eacute;v&eacute;ler l&#39;aspect invisible de la vie d&#39;objets en mouvement, elles peuvent aussi bien rendre compte de son aspect non moins imperceptible telle, cette installation de 2009, qui pr&eacute;sente une souche de bois, d&#39;aspect ordinaire, dot&eacute;e d&#39;un microphone directionnel, qui trahi et amplifie l&#39;activit&eacute;
